WorldChemm's headquarters were located a block north of the Convention Center in San Francisco, and just a quarter-mile from the old laboratory where the company started as a materials supplier in the second world war. The old site was a company museum now, used for special events like today's Board meeting. It was no easy matter getting there, with the international trade summit in full swing at the Convention Center. In attendance were several thousand official delegates, including forty heads of state, leaders of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the World Trade Organization, and numerous presidents of international businesses.
