14.3. Characterizing the New Workload
There are two new types of workloads to be considered in the capacity planning situations described in the previous section. The first workload is due to the new configurator module that runs at the application layer. This workload is generated by B2C interactions. Computer orders generated by these B2C interactions generate B2B interactions due to the supply-chain and fulfillment manager modules.
14.3.1. Configurator Workload
To characterize the workload due to customers who use the new Configure function, we use a Customer Behavior Model Graph (see Fig. 14.2).
