Achieving this certification provides clear evidence that a programmer understands the basic syntax and structure of the Java programming language and can create Java technology applications that run on server and desktop systems using Java SE 6.
How Do You Become SCJP Certified?
Pass the exam! You need to achieve a 65% (47 of 72 questions) or higher to pass the SCJP exam, and once you pass it, then you are a Sun Certified Java Programmer for the particular version of the exam that you passed. The latest SCJP exam is for JavaSE 6.0, which is the exam this book covers. ...
