The need for a substantive change in management attitude and style should be apparent by now. The real trick is implementing the collaborative approach into a working organization. In the same way that history and tradition inhibit change in our total economic system, the established culture of a company often works to block a change as basic as the switch to working more closely with suppliers and employees. It is much easier to have a great idea than to put that idea into practice. However, a few basic steps will pave the way to successful implementation.
