Creating Tempo Maps
In the previous chapter, we learned how to deal with a spotting list and creating different types of markers, as well as how Logic Pro can extract markers from a movie.
One of the first, most important, and challenging steps when getting ready to score to picture is finding the appropriate tempo that best suits the film. The entire process of finding the tempo before scoring to picture is referred to as “laying out the cue”.
In this chapter, we will cover how to find an appropriate tempo and how to create a tempo map, by using SMPTE locked markers.
