Lesson 9. Neutral Density Gradient Filter

This is an image of a neutral density gradient filter I took for my book, The Digital Photography Book. It was taken on a white seamless background using a single overhead softbox. There are lots of problems, including the fact that it was shot on a white seamless background, but it looks like a definitely off-white, yellowish, yucky background, plus you can’t see the gradient that is supposed to be visible in the filter, and we had to prop the filter up with a small piece of cardboard, which has to be removed later in Photoshop. Don’t worry—it’s a piece of cake.
