11 SIGNAL DELIVERY & ENGINEERING

Now that we have outlined the DESIGN and DELIVERY RASTERS, we can return to the SIGNAL RASTER, the last template that completes the three rasters in the Content Delivery Workflow. In Chapter 7, we learned the benefit of drafting the SIGNAL RASTER early in the process in order to clarify the media server engineering and budgeting demands. However, we will continue to refine the SIGNAL RASTERS throughout the pre-production process, and continue that refinement even after on site. This is another reason to use a media server system that enables content remixing and/or remapping to update how pixels flow to the signal outputs.
