The previous chapters covered some of the “teething” problems that deploying software-defined networking (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV) can introduce into the business. At this point in the technology lifecycle, there’s enough information available such that a CIO can identify and define these problems during the planning stage, and there are several technologies and techniques to mitigate them.
