23. Tim Harris

Tim is a community organizer and the founding director of the Real Change homeless newspaper. An award-winning journalist in his own right, for more than two decades he has been speaking out and organizing campaigns around issues of homelessness, poverty, housing affordability, and civil rights. He teaches a course on homelessness and poverty at the University of Washington and, as co-founder of the North American Street Newspaper Association, is a leader in the international street paper movement. Seattle: The Shanty Cafe, Kubota Garden, Trinity United Methodist Church for the best politically engaged agnostics around.
