So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

If you’re used to seeing life at eye level, maybe it’s time to look at the world from a new point of view. Your vantage point can make a huge impact on your photographs, so be on the lookout for the right one to suit the mood of every shoot.

Once you’ve covered all the safe angles, look for one that’s more interesting. My priority for a cover shoot is always the cover itself, but once I’d shot half a dozen cover options of actor Gene Hackman for Cigar Aficionado, I wanted to try something totally different.
