One of the biggest trends in systems is the development and deployment of systems in a cloud environment or using cloud services. Cloud services are defined as having access to shared IT resources such as network, servers, storage implementations, applications, or services on demand. Cloud offerings may be internal to a company, or they may be provided by an external vendor. Primarily the concept that is resources are available quickly and shared with others (internal or external). Sometimes cloud services are referred to as “using someone else’s computer,” even if that someone is an internal provider.
