Confidentiality and Security for IoT Based Healthcare

Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of confidentiality and security for Internet of Things (IoT) based healthcare. E-health systems and applications, which are defined as wireless networks connecting healthcare devices, are first addressed. Security issues specific to e-health applications are then discussed, including the particular sensitivity of personal health information and privacy. The chapter then focuses on specific types of possible attacks occurring in the network and transport layer of the open system interconnection (OSI) model, including denial of service (DoS) attacks, Sybil attacks, and desynchronization attacks.
