CHAPTER 14: PERSONAL CYBER SECURITY RISK ASSESSMENT
A risk assessment is a tool that is frequently used by businesses to show where risks might exist to their systems or way of working and what they need to do to improve their security. This personal risk assessment is only a guide to where improvements could be made to your personal security. When a security improvement is made, it is generally referred to as a ‘control’ because it controls a risk or vulnerability.
There are many more controls, or improvements, that can be made to your security online, but in the table below there are four in each group. These four should provide you with a basic level of security, but the more you can say ‘Yes’, the more secure you are.
