4.1. Configuring Windows 2000 IIS Server
This exercise demonstrates how to configure IIS on a Windows 2000 Server using the MMC console and supplemental configuration tools. Windows 2000 has built-in controls that help secure the IIS server.
The following assumptions are made in this exercise: The server is a member or a standalone box in a DMZ segment, and the server was built to host the company Web site but does not currently have IIS installed.
You will have to download the IIS Lockdown Utility from Microsoft's Web site (the current version of this tool is 2.1).
