Explain, implement, and configure privilege management.
Privilege management is the process of controlling users and their abilities on the network. It is one of the first levels at which goals should be created and well understood. The modern network should be protected from its own users first. This might sound like an odd approach, but the internal user has access to the data and the opportunity to sabotage it. The goal of protecting data and defining the focus of privilege management sets the tone and effort for many of the other tasks we discuss.
Privilege management focuses on the following key areas:
User, group, and role management
Centralized versus decentralized management
