9. Handling Online Payments
Whether you’re selling your crafts on a marketplace such as Etsy or eBay, or on your own website, when you make a sale you expect to get paid. How you get paid is up to you. (And, if you’re on an online marketplace, dependent on what payment options that marketplace offers, of course.)
In many cases, you can choose to get paid the old-fashioned way, by cash or check, although that’s rapidly going out of fashion. Most online shoppers today prefer to pay via credit card, as it’s more convenient and safer for them. The challenge, then, is setting things up so that you, a humble crafter, can accept credit payments.
