Semi-Markov maintenance nets

Abstract

The semi-Markov models of functioning maintenance systems, which are called maintenance nets are presented in this chapter. Elementary maintenance operations form the states of the SM model. Some concepts and results of the semi-Markov process theory provide the possibility of computing important characteristics and parameters of the maintenance process. Two semi-Markov models of maintenance nets are discussed in the chapter.
