Configuring a custom domain

As you know, when a new Azure Function App is created, it is assigned a default public (sub)domain name of <FunctionAppName>.azurewebsites.net. While there is nothing wrong with continuing to use the default domain, most application developers prefer to have a custom domain of their choosing assigned to the application production environment. Custom domains help with application branding and discoverability. Having a custom domain also helps establish a trust relationship with your users, as browsing to a familiar domain secured by an SSL certificate allows the users to know that they are, indeed, working with you, and not an impersonator.
