As you know, when a new Azure Function App is created, it is assigned a default public (sub)domain name of <FunctionAppName>.azurewebsites.net. While there is nothing wrong with continuing to use the default domain, most application developers prefer to have a custom domain of their choosing assigned to the application production environment.
