Managing components is the pivot in the supply–manage–consume model. Component or services supply activities are the responsibilities of component suppliers, whether they are internal or external to the organization. Certification, publication, and maintenance activities are the responsibility of the component management team. Finding, evaluating, and applying are the responsibilities of the component or service consumers.
