Agile methodology. Practice of empowering smaller software development teams of requirements owners and developers to define, code, and test functionality in smaller increments, rather than in a large, sequential or Waterfall (q.v.) approach.
big data. Data sets that have become too complex, unstructured, distributed or cumbersomely large in size (often measured in petabytes or exabytes) to be managed within conventional relational database systems. As big data can be stored across several systems, it often needs to be managed and referenced differently, using massively parallel systems and new technologies to leverage it.
