ZIPPER
There is more than one technique for installing a zipper, depending on what you’d like the garment to look like. The following basic technique uses a central seam down each side of the zipper. For best results, you’ll need to use a zipper foot.
First, make sure the fabric edges on either side of the zipper are finished. Sew the pattern pieces together until the bottom point of where the zipper will be. Then baste the remainder of the fabric (where the zipper will be). Press your seam allowances open.
