Chapter 9. Personalization Features
So far we have discussed how to configure and use the various components that make up a SharePoint environment. As part of these discussions, we revieweda variety of capabilities that allow you to organize information within the environment. There are times, however, when the way the information should be organized is dependant on the type of people accessing the information.
SharePoint provides several capabilities that enable you to personalize the environment in order to provide role-based views into information. These personalization capabilities enable users to accomplish the following:
