Starting up a new portal in SharePoint online is similar to creating a new portal inside your company; however, the hurdle of identifying the hardware and the services on which it will run is taken off the table. What’s put back on the table is figuring out how you’ll create your online users and what permissions they’ll be assigned in the new environment. The last thing you have to decide is when your new portal is ready for primetime.
