Shooting at night can be a nightmare if you don’t understand the tools available to you. It’s difficult to focus, challenging to determine exposure, and you are stuck providing all the illumination for the scene. Yet you can work some of these same challenges to your advantage. The upside to this scenario is that when you walk into a night scene with no light, you have complete control! In this chapter, you’ll learn how to overcome some of the immediate issues, as well as discover ways to exercise creative control with some added light of your own to create results.
