Setting Classic Preferences
The Classic pane in System Preferences gives you options to start and stop the Classic environment within Mac OS X, setup Mac OS 9 system startup and sleep options, and view status and memory information about Mac OS 9. If you're having problems with Mac OS 9 or an application running in Classic mode, you can use the Classic pane to also restart the Classic environment, or force an immediate quit. If icons are not properly displayed in Mac OS 9, you can rebuild the desktop to fix it.
