Protecting Files with Virex

One of the blessings of owning a Macintosh is that you hardly hear of any nasty viruses being sent our way. There are two reasons for this: Macintosh represents a smaller portion of the computing pie (attracting less serious hacker attention), and the Unix language (around which the Macintosh OS is modeled) is more difficult to hack. Since the release of OS X, not a single serious Macintosh virus has emerged… not a single one. Caution is advised, especially when you're working with Excel or Word macros that can hold viruses that could damage your Macintosh. The good news is that .Mac users have access to the Virex and McAfee virus protection applications, and they're only a click away.
