A key tenet for customer organisations is to retain a minimum level of strategic control and overall governance of IT service provision. This will allow it to concentrate on its strategic core while determining which services in each tower will be sourced.
The international standard ISO/IEC 38500:2015 defines governance of IT as follows: “the system by which the current and future use of IT is directed and controlled”.
