Invoking a service such as

Many (large) websites expose services that we can use in our applications. Some of these expose a WSDL file and thus expose metadata that we can use to develop an application around them. One of these sites is Bing (, the search engine from Microsoft. The Bing API allows us to connect in several ways and interact with its services using many protocols. It also exposes a WSDL file to which we can connect from Visual Studio.

In this recipe, we'll build a Silverlight application that incorporates the services in Bing.
