What is it about that little voice in your head that so dominates your life? It is almost as though it isn't born with the rest of us but comes later! Can you remember the first time you heard it? What were you about to do?
Earlier in the book I set up the idea that we grow out of a simple, instinctive view of the world and of success. As we mature, many of us start to believe that success, especially our own success, will be a complex process; sometimes even risky. As a result, some of us then decide that we are best off not even trying.
