Introduction
Before experimental analysis of the simulation model can begin, it is necessary to ensure that the model constructed provides a valid representation of the system we are studying. This process consists of verification and validation of the simulation model. Although verification and validation are critical in the development of a simulation model, unfortunately there is no set of specific tests that can easily be applied to determine the ‘correctness’ of a model (Sargent, 2013).
