5A: Deriving Theoretical and Empirical Distributions Using Arena

Introduction

The Arena software incorporates an Input Analyzer software tool (on the Arena Tools menu), which provides facilities to derive theoretical and empirical distributions. The Input Analyzer is a separate application to Arena, so it may be necessary to run it from Windows (use Windows Search for Input Analyzer to find the application). This chapter also covers how to generate non-stationary arrivals in Arena.
