Introduction

Simio provides a number of facilities for model verification and validation.

Structured Walthrough

A structured walkthrough can be achieved by reading through the computer model code to check that the correct data and logic have been entered. These should be checked against the conceptual model specification.

Animation Inspection

The animation facilities provide a powerful tool in aiding understanding of model behaviour and enable us to observe the flow of entities. To check the logic of the model, run the model slowly and watch how each element of the model behaves.
