Abstract
Signal characterization is very important in different propagation environments such as urban and suburban, and it may become distorted due to variations in time domain and shadowing effects through the surrounding objects. Fisher Snedecor fading is an accurate and simple model for next-generation wireless communication technology, more specifically for device to device (D2D) communication. In this paper, the expressions of the average bit error rate (ABER) for binary and multilevel signaling are derived. We also derive the approximate, tightly bound, and asymptotic error rate expressions for some signaling schemes. Thereafter, the capacity expressions using different adaptive transmission techniques are derived. We also compute the capacity expression for both low and high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) values. Furthermore, to cross-verify the computed expressions, simulation technique is used.

2.1 Introduction
In a wireless system, fading is defined as the variation, which is random in nature, in the received signal that occurs due to the combined effect of time and frequency variations. It ...
