Abstract:
In order to reduce demands on central energy supplies and to reduce carbon emissions, a number of technologies are being developed for application in domestic and commercial buildings. Micro (or domestic) and small CHP is one of such technologies. First, Section 18.2 describes types of thermal engines used as prime movers in CHP systems. Section 18.3 briefly reviews recent CHP appliance developments with thermal engines.
