Abstract
Wind turbines are machines just like cars, tractors, refrigerators, and copiers, and they contain many specialized parts. There are many different types of wind turbines with each designed to meet the various needs and desires of the individual purchaser. The basic parts of a small wind machine are discussed, and then a machine used to generate electricity is emphasized. Wind machines designed for other applications are also discussed.
