Abstract
Installation needs to be considered early in the decision process for purchasing a wind turbine. Especially important is the choice of an installer. Some wind enthusiasts believe that wind turbines with rotor diameters less than 3 m (10 ft) can be installed by the purchaser, assuming that adequate instruction manuals are provided.
