Intelligent devices. Smartphones. Intelligent cars. Smart households. Smart towns. A better world! These concepts have been promoted for years. To date, many different and frequently disjointed research networks have explored the achievement of these objectives. In computing, a communication between a group of two or more devices forms a network. In practice, a network forms a number of different computer systems connected through physical and/or wireless connections. The scale can range from a single PC sharing out basic peripherals to massive data centers located throughout the world, to the Internet itself. Irrespective of scope, all networks allow computers and/or entities to share information and resources.
MANET (Mobile Ad Hoc Network) is a wireless network decentralized type. Since it does not rely on a pre‐existing infrastructure, such as wired network routers or wireless network access points, the network is ad hoc. Instead, each node contributes to the routing by transmitting data to other nodes, so that the data transmitted by the nodes is determined dynamically based on network connectivity and the routing algorithm used.
Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are a new category of networked systems with strong computer and energy resources and an ad hoc operating environment as ...
