How to Set Up Files and Present to Your Audience

tip.eps When you’re getting ready to present to an audience, keep in mind the following tips:

check.png Make sure the interactive whiteboard is set up with a computer and has access to the Internet (if you need to use content from the web). If you’re on a local area network (LAN), you can access your files via your profile. Otherwise, bring your files on a CD, DVD, or flash drive.

check.png In your presentation, use the Full Screen view (see the next section). Presenting your information on a huge board is impressive. Plus, you get more space to work, which is really useful if you have multiple people interacting with the board.

check.png Prepare your links to outside resources or to other files in advance of your presentation or lesson. It speeds up the process, and you don’t have to lose focus on the topic you’re discussing. I discuss attaching files and creating links in Chapters 6 and 9.
