Crowdfunding as a new instrument of collaborative financing is not only inherently innovative but it also serves as the fountainhead of derivative innovations and creativities on many levels, e.g., goods, services, and business models. Crowdfunding itself may not qualify as a radical innovation for some reasons such as the fact that it is incremental in nature and is based on the principle of participating contributor. In this regard, incremental nature implies another evolutionary stage of conventional financing system with the broadened and deepened utilization of the Internet.
