Abstract
The Internet of Things and Smart Grid (IoTSG) applications have a broader application in the industrial monitoring environment, including workflow automation, predictive maintenance, inventory monitoring, alerting in the event of any deviations, remote equipment management, quality control, supply chain optimization, and so on. Smart grid enhances transmission line operation and allow for speedier system restoration following a fault. It also helps to reduce power costs. In this chapter, the authors investigate the use of IoTSG in energy management, which is critical in every industrial unit. IoTSG is crucial in the monitoring, control, and conservation of energy in the industrial environment. The function and uses of IoTSG in the banking, automobile, and healthcare sectors are thoroughly examined in this chapter. Banking, as an industry, is critical to the economic stability of the country. IoT has a big impact on many aspects of the banking business, including customer relationship management, lending sanctioning, customer service, leasing finance automation, and so on. Similarly, the smart grid uses cutting-edge technologies to solve difficulties with energy ...
