The vitality of SOA governance is defined by the ability to keep the various dimensions of the governance framework relevant, current, and at the right level as required by the business. Vitality maintains the applicability of the governance framework. It requires the governance framework to be current, reflecting the business and IT strategy and their direction. To maintain the vitality, the governance processes and mechanisms, comprising organizational entities and supporting roles, need to be refined and enhanced to ensure ongoing usage and relevance to an implementation.
