Project management is the process of delivering well-described solutions managed using activities such as planning, budgeting, prioritizing, communicating and influencing stakeholders, and assembling and managing the project team. The solution that needs to be delivered by the project isn't necessarily a piece of software, but can also be the creation of a new department for example. Demand management initializes projects.
