A number of relationships between social decentering, relationship-specific social decentering (RSSD), relationship escalation, and relationship de-escalation were advanced in Chapter 3. In this chapter, two studies are presented that were conducted to examine some of those relationships. The first study focused on escalating relationships and the second study focused on de-escalating or terminated relationships.
