Abercrombie Plan officially known as The Greater London Plan of 1944, it was developed by Sir Leslie Patrick Abercrombie (1879–1957) as a radical blueprint for the city’s reorganisation. Its key recommendations included strict zoning of residential and industrial spaces, new housing, more open space, road building and reducing densities through decentralising the population.
