You know that not all social media platforms and tools are created equal. If you use sites such as Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter you find an incredibly large audience that is direct messaging, tweeting, sharing, and other social activities. But these platforms aren’t the only choices you have for engaging with your fans and prospects. New platforms are being developed all the time. Some, such as Pinterest, started out with little fan fair and gained traction in a short amount of time. If you consider adding some other choices to your marketing roster it may help you attract a broader audience.

In this chapter, we look at three social platforms that are not as big as Facebook or Twitter but may help you find followers and spread your message. They are Medium (a blogging platform), Reddit (a content discussion site), and (TikTok), a social media video-sharing app.
