For a long time, we had to deal with the idea that the development team members should keep their attention on coding and not bother with architectural concepts since those are not their concern. This is such a wrong way of looking at things. There are so many benefits to having at least an overview of the architectural vision of what you are working on. For me, the switch happened at a moment when I felt stuck and didn’t understand what I was building and how that feature would fit into the architectural picture.
