I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 6. Craftsmanship Is the Opposite of Licensing
Software craftsmanship is about getting the job done. Craftsmen build their reputations based on the quality of what they deliver to their customers, not on the processes they use or the ways in which they market themselves. Software craftsmen build their reputations based on the applications and systems that they successfully deliver to satisfied users and customers. This idea is the exact opposite of the concept of interchangeable, licensed software engineers.
Craftsmanship Is Personal
