Chapter 22. Growth
There is an important interaction between growth and productivity. A very simple model can enable managers to better understand what occurs as new team members are integrated into an existing organization. While straightforward, the model also permits some interesting predictions; and with some simple graphs, I can show how the various factors interact.
There are no clear answers to all the problems that growth presents, but I believe good managers can learn to manipulate the parameters that define the model.
