Repeated requests from software engineers who are the readers of our previous books encouraged us to write this book on software engineering. The trend of number of software project failures is still disturbing and even though there is some improvement made over past few years, it still needs further improvement. Hence, we thought of writing this book specifically for techies, college students, and junior managers so that they understand the software engineering concepts easily and execute their projects successfully. The term âsoftware engineeringâ and the related concepts may be 45 years old, but the pace at which it is growing, it makes sense to update and accommodate new concepts to keep it fresh and energetic.
