5. Exploring Zpool Advanced Concepts
In this chapter, you will explore techniques for creating the best possible pool configurations. The examples shown in this chapter are from the ZFS Configuration Guide at www.solarisinternals.com/wiki/index.php/ZFS_Configuration_Guide. I will walk you through the commands that create the configuration and explain why it works.
There are many ways to configure ZFS pools, some better than others, but it is my hope that from this chapter you will get a better idea for setting up a ZFS pool that suits your needs.
